GETPOST.ID, Jakarta – Walikota Jakarta Selatan Marullah Matali (55) resmi terpilih menjadi Sekretaris Daerah (Sekda) Provinsi DKI Jakarta, menggantikan almarhum Saefullah yang meninggal dunia karena sakit pada September tahun lalu. Kabar ini telah dikonfirmasi oleh Kepala Sekretariat Kepresidenan Heru Budi Hartono kepada media, Kamis 14 Januari 2020.
Rencananya, pelantikan Marullah sebagai Sekda Provinsi DKI Jakarta akan dilakukan Jumat 15 Januari 2020, di Balaikota.
Marullah yang lahir di Pondok Labu ini dipilih sebagai Sekda Provinsi DKI, karena meraih skor tertinggi dalam proses lelang jabatan sekda Provinsi DKI Jakarta yang dirilis pada Oktober tahun lalu. Misalnya di tes asesmen kompetensi, anak Betawi ini meraih skor 82,22 dengan bobot 20,56 persen. Dia juga meraih skor tertinggi 78,00 dalam tes tertulis pembuatan makalah.
Dalam seleksi tersebut, Marullah bersaing ketat dengan kandidat lain, seperti Sri Hartati (Plt Sekda), Sigit Wijatmoko (Walikota Jakarta Utara), Yusmada Faisal (77,78), dan Andri Yansah (77,78).
Atas dasar itu, Forum Jurnalis Betawi (FJB) mengucapkan selamat atas terpilihnya Marullah Matali sebagai Sekda Provinsi DKI Jakarta. Semoga Marullah amanah dan diberi kelancaran dalam melaksanakan tugas dan kewajibannya sebagai sekda di provinsi yang merupakan ibukota Republik Indonesia ini.
FJB berharap terpilihnya Marullah Matali menjadi Sekda Provinsi DKI Jakarta menjadi inspirasi dan mendorong generasi muda Betawi siap berkiprah di pemerintahan tingkat provinsi, bahkan tingkat pusat. FJB menilai orang Betawi mempunyai kemampuan untuk berkiprah di pemerintahan tersebut sehingga eksistensi Betawi sebagai masyaraat indti kota Jakarta tetap terjaga.
Pria yang lahir pada 27 November 1965 ini merupakan putra asli Betawi kelahiran Pondok Labu, Jakarta Selatan. Marullah telah mendedikasikan hidupnya sebagai seorang birokrat di lingkungan Pemprov DKI sejak tahun 1996. Marullah menamatkan pendidikan S1 Agama Islam di Universitas Basra, Saudi Arabia. Kemudian, dia melanjutkan pendidikan S2 Hukum Islam di IAIN Jakarta.
